Perm voluntary group visits Perm’s twin-city Oxford, UK.
The group included members of Perm-Oxford non-profit association. They had a perfect chance to experience Perm's twin city firsthand and to meet with its residents. The main point about this exchange was its practical focused work - Perm group observed voluntary work and social service provision in Oxford. Fruitful and constructive meetings in Oxford City Council and in Community Centres allowed the members to discuss many relevant and common issues concerning the role of voluntary organizations in Oxford and involvement of citizens in decision-making. Having returned home, members of the group started sharing the acquired knowledge with their colleagues in Perm. It is worth mentioning that the experience acquired in Oxford (concerning Community Centres) has been adapted to Perm conditions and is being widely used - several Community Centres are functioning already in Perm.
